Lalande de Château Tifayne 2010

🌍 Francs Côtes de Bordeaux, France

🍇 55% Merlot and 45% Cabernet Sauvignon

Surface: 5 hectares of Castillon, Côtes de Bordeaux and 8 hectares of Francs, Côtes de Bordeaux.

Soil: The grounds of Castillon, Côtes de Bordeaux, situated at Tifayne, consist of a thin clay stratum lying on a limestone rock (unless 40 cms deep). The majority of our plots on the Francs, Côtes de Bordeaux, are on deeper seated clay (called “molasses du Fronsadais”), a testimony of the ancient sediments of rivers and lakes of the region.
