This Vino de la Tierra de Castilla y León wine has to survive in a tough climate of long, cold winters and short, hot summers. This Spanish red wine is made from the local native Prieto Picudo grape.
Produced from 90-year-old vines situated in the town of Pajares de los Oteros and cultivated at 810 meters, this wine is aged 6 months in second-use French, American, and Hungarian oak barrels.
👀 Intense red ruby colour with purple reflection.
👃 On the nose, it is intense with a clear leading role of fresh red fruit, violets, wild blueberry, and accompanied by cedar and pencil lead aromas.
👄On the palate, it is a dry, fresh and broad with a persistent finish. Estay is definitely worth a go if you’re seeking something different.
