Domaine Tetramythos Roditis is a Greek organic white wine from Panayiotis Papagiannopoulos. It is produced in the Patras appellation, in the Peloponnese region with the grape variety Roditis.
Located on Mount Aroania and cooled by the winds coming from the Gulf of Corinth, this estate is gaining international recognition for the quality of its wines.
Roditis comes from Attica, Macedonia, Thessaly and Peloponnese and the best thing about it besides the taste is that it is usually cheap. Tetramythos is considered one of the best wines you can buy under $20 by the Wine Enthusiast.
Other good wines using these grapes include Mercouri Estates, Kouros, Pavlidis, Lafazanis and Oenoforos, all from the Peloponnese.
Organic wine, vinified 3 months in stainless steel tanks. Whole grapes pressing, fermentation with indigenous yeasts. No fining or filtration.
Pale lemon colour with light green hues. Intense and complex aroma, with notes of citrus blossom, flowers, lemon and lime. Dry, with volume and a crisp acidity that elevates this wine to a higher level.
Pleasant and refreshing, with the classic aftertaste of citrus fruits blended with herbal spices and a slight saline quality on the palate. Great to match with sushi, poached fish in lemon sauce, green salads and white cheeses.
